Conference of the European Network on Gender Violence
The European Observatory on Femicide (EOF) presented at the Conference of the European Network on Gender and Violence (ENGV)
The European Network on Gender and Violence is a network of over 400 researchers from different disciplines and countries. It supports exchange and collaboration among scholars and professionals who address violence, gender, violence prevention and related issues.
In 2019, between 17-19 July, the annual conference took place in Freiburg, Germany and was hosted by the Social Science Research Institute on Gender Issues at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences.
The coordinators of the EOF’s thematic groups on data collection and prevention, Monika Schröttle and Maria Jose Magalhães took the opportunity and presented the work on the EOF on developing quantitative and qualitative tools that will enable EOF’s country group to measure the extent and types of femicides across Europe and conduct femicide reviews in their countries. We thank Prof Dr Schröttle and Prof Dr Magalhães for representing the EOF at the ENGV conference!
